On August 6, a woman named Kassie Deanne took to TikTokto share the story of how she'd found an abandoned female puppyon the side of the road. She said that the pup had been run over "multiple times" and that she was lying on hot asphalt, unable to move. Kassie quickly stopped her own car and ran to pick up the poor pup and put it in the backseat of her own car, along with her young daughter, as she rushed to get her to the nearest emergency vet.

"I rescued this sweet baby from off of hot asphalt after being hit and ran over multiple times after. I rushed her to the emergency vet," Kassie wrote in the overlay of another video, where she updated viewers onwhat had happened to the dog.

"I'm rushing as quick as I can, okay," Kassie told the dog, who was shaking and breathing quickly and shallowly. The video then cuts to another clip, where the dog, whom she named Marcie, was looking a lot happier as she was lying on Kassie's lap in the car, giving fans a sneak peek into the happy ending of her story.

It then cuts back to when Kassie got out of the car at the veterinarian, where she showed just how badly hurt Marcie was at first. She went on to reveal: "Now she's home with me!!

"She fought to live for two weeks. After a severe skull fracture and multiple leg fractures. Our Marcie Ann."

In the next clip, Marcie is seen running up to Kassie, wearing a striped top saying "hug me, kiss me, love me" along with wearing pink shoes on all of her paws. With her tail wagging quickly, she continued to chase her new owner in her new garden, clearly very happy as Kassie cheered her on.

Marcie was then hit by the "zoomies" as she started rolling around in the green grass. Kassie went on to write in the caption of the post: "Oh Marcie, oh Marcie such a spoiled little girl. Watch to the end for her cuteness."

The video quickly went viral, having racked up over 14 million views in just two days. Viewers quickly took to the comment section to praise Kassie for having saved Marcie's life, as many also wanted to make sure that the dog was okay.

"Ohhh so you one of those angels I always hear about," one person wrote, talking about Kassie's kind gesture. A second person said: "OH MY GOODNESS! YOU ARE AN ANGEL! You are the reason I still have faith in humanity."

"She will never be harmed ever again I just know it," another person said, while a fifth viewer added: "I have a feeling she’ll never feel hot asphalt ever again."

"She even has shoes on - baby will never feel hot asphalt on any part of her again. What an angel you are," someone else agreed.

Another person went on to write: "Note to self: add local emergency vets to my GPS."
